-- Hilary's Medical Situation --
January 13, 2006
Tuesday, Janurary 10, Hilary saw her endocrinologist, Dr. Akright. She drew blood to see how her growth hormone levels are doing. We should get results within the week. Dr. Akright also told Hilary to stop taking the DDAVP, the medicine for Diabetes Insipidus, AND to stop taking her Insulin, since her blood glucose levels have been under 150 due to decreasing the steroid dose!!! Once the steroids are stopped completly, Hilary can stop taking Pepcid (that protects her stomach from developing an ulcer while on steroids). It is such a relief to have some good news from diffrent doctors for several weeks in a row, now. We pray, along with all of you,l that this is a trend that will continue. I will let you all know the blood test results as soon as we are told what they are.
Thanks to all.
