Cheesey Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
- 5 potatoes, peeled
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 3/4 cup 2% milk or cream
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 3 tsp. fresh minced garlic
- 2 tsp. coarsely chopped chives
- garlic salt
- pepper
Directions:
- Cut potatoes into eighths and place in 6 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are tender.
- Drain and mash.
- Add butter and wait for it to melt before adding milk.
- Combine over low heat until hot throughout; add cheese and stir until incorporated and melted.
- Add garlic, garlic powder and chives.
- Season to taste with garlic salt and pepper.
Servings: 4 - 6
