Chandra and Creed both came home today/Friday, 8/12/2005!!
Both are doing Great!
Praise the Lord for his care and protection during and after Creed's birth!
August 11, 2005 -- 10:45 PM Creed is staying in Chandra's room as I type this tonight!!! He's not officially "checked out"
of NICU yet, but this is the first time he's been in Chandra's room. (He was only in the
regular newborn nursery for 3 hours before he was whisked away to NICU after he was born, so
this is a Wonderful Milestone!
August 11, 2005 -- Noon
Creed did not get to leave the NICU yesterday. He is doing good though, and they're telling us "today or tomorrow" he should be able to check out.
August 10, 2005 -- Noon
Creed has improved overnight!
- He is breathing room air, unassisted!
- His breathing rate has come down overnight from 120 (too fast) to 60 (much better)!
It is reasonable to assume now that he will be able to go home when Chandra does later this week.
August 9, 2005 -- 7:00 PM
We were disappointed to learn Tuesday evening that Creed's doctors have decided,
due to his not breathing as well as they would like, that Creed needs a brief
stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU.)
He will be on special antibiotics to combat any possible infection and to help
improve his breathing. Estimated time to stay in NICU is currently two days.
Please pray for his breathing to improve speedily, and for Drew's and Chandra's
peace of mind.
